After Fourth of July:
-Picnic items: disposable dishes/table clothes
-Patriotic decorations
-Patriotic clothes – Stores want to get these items out of their inventory quickly after the Fourth celebrations are over, so wait until after the holiday to pick up your star-spangled gear.
Seasonal Produce:
-Sweet corn, cucumber, basil
-Apricots, mango, peaches
-Blackberries, blueberries, cherries
Furniture
-Indoor furniture in particular
July is a great time to replace some old furniture. As a general rule, furniture stores bring in new stock in August, meaning that July is a scramble to clear out the old for the new. This brings on a whole lot of sales on last year’s models.
Gym Memberships
During summer months, gym sign-ups are typically lower due to the available outdoor activities. Because of this, you may be able to snag a deal on a membership by asking the gym to give you a free trial month or waive the initiation fee. If the gym is falling behind in membership sign-ups, you just might have a good chance of saving a quick buck here.
Undergarments/Loungewear/Swimwear
Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Event
Usually you would be encouraged not to buy swimwear during summer months, however, every January and June, Victoria’s Secret throws its Semi-Annual sale, where you can save up to 50% off on swimsuits, lingerie, and loungewear. In like fashion, competing lingerie stores may also lower their prices in order to compete.
