I joined Sommer Investments in the spring of 2012 to support the administrative functions of our office, handling everything from scanning and uploading documents to expediting various organizational needs that keep our operations running smoothly. What drew me to this role was the opportunity to use my natural strengths – I've always had a head for numbers, an inclination for organization, and an eye for details that helps establish that nothing falls through the cracks.
My administrative experience comes from years of diverse experience managing office duties and bookkeeping across different industries. I've handled the financial and organizational aspects of my husband's contracting business, worked with a real estate firm, and managed administrative responsibilities for a telecommunications company. This varied background has given me a well-rounded understanding of business operations and the importance of accurate, efficient administrative support.
One of my greatest accomplishments has been raising and homeschooling my five sons, who are now creating their own lives and paths. Some of them have married and are blessing me with grandchildren, which brings me incredible joy. The organizational skills and attention to detail that served me well as a homeschooling mother translate perfectly into my work at Sommer Investments.
Outside of the office, I continue to put my financial skills to use as the financial secretary at my church, helping manage their administrative needs. During my free time, I find fulfillment in serving others in various capacities, and I love exploring my creative side through sewing, crocheting, and crafting. You might also find me day-dreaming my way through second-hand stores, searching for treasures, or enjoying walks and hikes with friends – activities that help me recharge and stay connected with my community.
